    • Obituary
      Donna M. DeMelfi, 81, of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday at her home.  Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel D. and Gertrude (Boyle) DeMelfi.
       
      She was a 1960 graduate of Hazleton High School and Luzerne County Community College with a nursing degree.  She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the St. Luke’s Facilities, and was a private duty nurse.
       
      Surviving are her son Jack Mulhall Jr. and his wife Kristen, Hazleton; daughter Michelle Fitzgerald, Hazleton; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother Daniel DeMelfi and wife Esme, Hazle Twp; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs Oreo and Snickers.  The family would like to thank her special friend Joanne.
       
      Her funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
       
      The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hazleton Animal Shelter, PO Box 481, Hazleton, PA 18201.
