    • Obituary
      Carolyn A. Fellin, 88, formerly of Hazleton, passed away on June 5, 2024 at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Hospital, Reading.  Born in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Rose (Ferdinand) Arlotto and was a former member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.
       
      Carolyn earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University and completed a Master’s Equivalency Program. She was a proud supporter of Penn State and a lifetime member of their alumni association. As a passionate and dedicated educator, she spent the majority of her career teaching Home Economics in the Hazleton Area School district, specializing in cooking and early childhood development. Carolyn was an enthusiastic member of many clubs over the years, including: Hazleton Area Garden Club, the Beckies, Book Club, the Jogging Club, AAUW and The Art League.
       
      Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Eugene Fellin, and was a loving and joyful mother of 3. To her family and friends, she was well known for her infectious smile; her enthusiastic celebration of every holiday; and last but not least, for her pies and desserts.
       
      Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her beloved husband, Eugene J. Fellin; and her sister Rosemary Arlotto.
       
      Surviving are her children Eugene J. Fellin III and wife Paula, Mary Louise Ebinger and husband Jonathan, and Lynne Connolly and her husband Patrick; grandchildren Bryan, Christopher, Eric, and Amanda Fellin, Caroline and Katie Ebinger, and Erin and Jack Connolly; brother Frank Arlotto and wife Angela. 
       
      Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 17th, at 10 A.M. in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 16th, from 5-7 P.M. at the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.
       
      In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to a charity of your choice.
