Obituary
Alice J. Gottstein, 88, of Nuremberg, passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton. Born in Nuremberg, she was the daughter of the late Condeido and Jesse (Kemler) Flaim and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Weston.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her free-time she loved playing scrabble.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband Leonard R. Gottstein in 2022; great granddaughter Cecelia Gottstein; and brothers James, Stanley, and Donald Flaim.
Surviving are her sons Leonard Gottstein and companion Linda Bissett, Dallas, PA, and Thomas Gottstein and wife Mary, Drums; grandchildren Taylor Reddy, Connor, Jordan, Thomas, Michael, Mary Kate, Sarah, and Allison Gottstein; great grandchildren Delilah and Ruby Gottstein, and Owen and Finn Reddy; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30th, at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday morning in the church from 9-10 AM
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in memory of her great granddaughter Cecelia. The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton is in charge of the arrangements. -
